Looking for some effective solution to get rid of head lice. None of the shampoos seems to work. Please help.

Apply lemon on your scalp for half hour and wash. Repeat for one week. That should be enough..

Olive oil is good in killing head lice. Apply heavy amount of olive oil on your hair, and cover it with a plastic bag. Keep it overnight, later with the help of lice comb, take out all the head lice. Repeat this after every 10 days.

For head lice treatment, it is suggested that you can also make use of fresh custard apple paste. Add some water into the paste. You may apply it on your scalp and leave it for an hour or two. Then shampoo your hair with normal clean water. You may have to apply the paste repeatedly for 2 to 3 days to get the desired result.

You can use the following prescription medications to get rid of hair lice:
Malathion (Ovide)
Lindane (available as a cream, shampoo or lotion)
