I do not have insomnia. I fall asleep soon enough. But I wake up kind of in the middle of the night and then feel sleepless. How do I push myself to sleep longer so I do not feel sleepy in the day time?

I also had the same problem. But, after I started practicing 'Savasana' (yogasanas) every day under the guidance of a Yoga instructor, I no longer have the problem.
Avoid taking naps longer than 30 minutes during the day. Exercising can also improve the sleep duration (however, you should not exercise just before sleeping or 3 hours before sleeping).
Also make sure you have good environment which is conducive for sleeping. i.e.Your bed should be comfortable, there should be minimal noise and light while sleeping
A relaxing warm bath before going bed and drinking lot of water will make you sleep longer. Before going to bed do think anything negative and try to imagine about things which you want to happen in future.
