I believe that fasting--voluntarily abstaining from food for a set period of time--can be safe and beneficial if you do it correctly. Giving your digestive system a break frees energy for your body to heal and repair itself.

According to me, one should do occasional juice or water fasting lasting for 1-3 days once or twice in a year. Before fasting it is better to consult your physician and dietician.

For most people it is perfectly safe. For some it is not safe, particularly those with certain types of chronic medical conditions like diabetes, kidney disorders etc. If in doubt consult a doctor.

Fasting properly can be beneficial as it gives your digestive system a break and allows your body to repair, heal itself.

Juice fast about once or twice a year can be beneficial.

IF a person is pregnant or nursing, fasting is not advisable.
If a person is having diabetes, or if he/she is very thin, fasting may not be advisable.

If you are medications, always consult your doctor
