Hi Angel
Few years ago eliminating nightshade vegetables like potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, etc. from the diet was considered to be effective in reducing arthritis pain and inflammation. But there is no scientific study or data which supports this practice. In case you have doubts that nightshade vegetables are worsening your arthritis symptoms then there is no harm in eliminating nightshade vegetables from your diet for few weeks. To observe the changes it is advisable to maintain a food record and keep a note of foods which flare-up your symptoms.
